QuizQuest ("Study to Unlock")
Effective date: June 09, 2026
QuizQuest (the "App") takes your privacy seriously and follows the principle of minimizing the collection of personal information. This policy explains what information the App collects and uses, and what rights you have.
1. Summary
- No account. No sign-up, no login, no email collection.
- We do not collect personally identifying information about your child, such as name or contact details.
- We do not transmit system screen-time data off the device.
- We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or session-analytics tools.
- The only information sent to our server is anonymous usage statistics.
2. Information We Collect and Why
2.1 Information stored only on the device and never transmitted
The following information is stored solely on your device and is not sent to any external server.
- Parent PIN and recovery word — stored as an encrypted hash in the device's secure storage (Keychain).
- Child profile — birth order, gender (optional), birth year and month (used to calculate school grade).
- Learning records, blocking settings, and gate-pass events.
2.2 Anonymous usage statistics (collected by default, opt-out available)
To improve the service, we collect anonymous metrics that cannot identify an individual. We disclose this to the guardian during initial setup (onboarding).
- Anonymous events such as app launches and switching between child/parent mode.
- Daily learning-activity aggregates — number of problems solved per day, and quest pass/fail counts (learning content and settings values are not included).
